digging a bit deeper into the structure of theme and templatesystem you sure have found some individual ways to make xoops layouts do what you want and fit your needs. There were some discussions in the past to have different look of blocks. You want to have different styles on some blocks?

In my humble opinion, the nicest an cleanest way to show xoops mainmenu is simply using a list to display our links. A list? Yes, we can use simple html unordered lists and this with less work. If you have cloned the default templateset and using the clone as active templateset, you are able to edit modultemplates in templatemanager.

not that there are no other things to do, but … normally i visit XOOPS.org from time to time while working on my webthings. Addicted? Sure. But the xoops.org website is a bit more than just a normal website. It’s a place where i find informations round about xoops, xoops-sites, xoops-hacks, xoops-versions etc. And it’s a place where i can get help, where i can help others and where i meet my virtual friends.

We finished the period of voting for the month september. BIG thanks to all who have found some time to look at the nominations, to fill in the voting form, helped and participated.

This month there were 128 votings and many comments. Some said that there were too many nominations, which was too hard to look at and visit all. In future we will limit the nominations to a number of 10 to 15. There are no restrictions to nominate a site, so you can nominate a site for each month. We will take care that each submission will take part at least once.

Did i told you that i love [we]Blogs? Not only blogs but blogging itself? I love the way i can display content in a nice and easy way.

And i love the blogger community. During the last weeks i visited many blogs via blogsearch or through links from visited pages and i’m more and more impressed. Some weeks ago the time was right to fill the idea to setup a xoops 2.2 with WordPress Modul, a forum and some other nice modules to handle a blogger-community with life. The project was born …

After regging the domains blogger-community.com and blogger-community.de there was a bit delay in releasing a XOOPS Version 2.2 which i would use on a live website. There were some great examples live but i wanted to wait until a near [final] version.

while I was preparing to publish an article that XOOPS.org is back online, the hacker gained access to xoops.org admin again. He changed original posts of the community and there was no other solution than to close xoops.org again.

really, isn’t it? I thought to wait with installing a BLOG until new XOOPS Version 2.2 is some steps further in development. Then i will love to test and use the great WordPress Module for XOOPS. This will allow me to combine both advantages of XOOPS and wordPress together. XOOPS is great to handle many different dynamic data and WordPress allows me to organize and present my Content in a smooth way and with nice rewrite stuff.

Welcome to XOOPS FACTORY bLOG area. This is the first post i made while installing the theme which i took from the actual running XOOPS theme. First i wanted to wait with installing a blog until we have a final Version 2.2.
I made some nice eXperiences with some blogs again during the last year while resting with XOOPS. But then it was a bit boring without XOOPS. So i start XOOPS blogging NOW!
