Decembers winner is Asian Car Styling with 17 votings. The second place is shared by Anime Kensei and Wanabka with 15 votings each. With 10 votings each the third place is shared by All about MASK and Gooberhead.net (hmmm, … i wish i could be 15 or 20 years younger again …).

Again, there were many good sites! My personal favourite this month was the page of xray-mag.com for its great content and stuff on their page. When i got the nomination for this site it took me some hours to look through the magazine. Nor I’m a diving specialist or too much interested in this topic but the images and stuff were really great. Perhaps some of the guys want to invite me for a week? I downloaded some of their .pdf documents and began to dive in …

MyPCResource, the sister site to MyWebResource is now online and accepting new members!

For those who know me, you know that Network Administration is my “day job” and my second passion. MyPCResource is a site dedicated to others who share an enthusiasm for x86 (IBM Compatable) computers, hardware, software, and general networking.

This month it was hard for me, there were many submissions of votings, which could not be counted as valid. From nearly 200 submissions there were just some more than 100 which could be counted. Double votings from same email or IP, mass mailings from same IP range and proxy in a small period are only some aspects i had to put my eyes on. Actually i do not find a better solution to handle this contest. I would really appreciate if one of the module devs will help to create a module to organize and handle such a contest. Why i’m not using a poll modul?

The official german XOOPS Support community has a new owner, it’s me! Joachim aka frankblack who was the former owner of myxoops[-.de -. org -.info] could not continue his work and asked me to care, maintain and continue the website. With the help of admins, moderators and members of the community we will continue to help in xoops related topics where we can.

Rene Sato started the project of a XOOPS-magazine which will be available in german and english language first. Of course, other language translations could be possible later.

The first online-version will be available at 24.04.2006. It is planned to have a print version too. The magazines planned topics are …

A second screen idea for a possible layout of new XOOPS.org. It’s a bit more coloured and younger styled but I like this kind.

Again, this is just an idea without looking too deep in too much details. The changes in colours made here a complete different look and feel I think. Perhaps we can have some images of our own? community events?

Before submitting some ideas and thoughts about the redesign of xoops.org i will play a bit with the colours, the new logo and some old ideas. This is the first one.

Xoops Site of the Month December 2005 VOTING is Open NOW! Here we are with the xoops site of the month voting for December 2005. I made the screens from the nominations for month december and now the form to submit your favourite site is online! A new year arrived and XOOPS.org got a new logo.

The board of the XOOPS foundation initiated a logo design contest at the DesignContest.net designers community, with a huge response by many professionals graphic designers from all over the world.
