Another CSS driven XOOPS theme without any usage of tables for positioning things is ready for download. The idea behind this theme was, to have a different blockusage. Depending on the blocksettings, you will have a left and right block or full size of theme (770px) without any siteblocks which is nice for a forum eg. The centerblock right is below a cleared aerea and it will be displayed full width of theme.
Don’t tell me that i do have too much time to visit www. While I was looking for information and tools to generate braille font, I found a nice link to a page which generates ASCII Art online. You can insert your text and select a font (and some other settings). Submit your input and it will be generated as ASCII art on the fly. Select font “_all fonts with your text” and it will show what??? Yes, you’re right. Here are some examples …

You will find a download with more than 150 icons, which are licenced under a Creative Commons licence, so commercial use is fine. Just another running screen I made from the xf_colourBlue theme. The CSS of this basic example is relative easy to change and understand.
Here again it is more a layout for a personal than a community site but more and more people are using XOOPS for private or commercial sites.

I’m actually playing with my xf_colourBlue Theme, making some variations. Here is one example which I do like for a personal site. The theme is actually running on Worpress for i’m playing with image-headlines, a plugin that replaces text to images and where normal .ttf fonts are generated to png. Nice isn’t it?

Never knew that my linux player has such nice visualisations. THis is just copy and paste and playing a bit in fireworks. Can we use this for inspiration in our layouts?
