We did it, once around the calendar, one year, 12 Month, 12 winner of the xoops site of the month contest. And, ... we have seen many great examples of XOOPS usage. Thanks to all!

While looking through the emails with your votings, it was not that hard to see who will be the winner of month July 2006. While counting the first 30 emails, it seemed to be a head to head race between 2 of the nominated sites but then, ... www.lebuccaneer.com made the race with more than 80% of all submissions. lebuccaneer got 56 from 69 valid email. The next follow up site is WestCoaster.ca with 11 email.

• The theme drew me in at first. Then I liked the fact that the designers used several modules, but the site didnt have that "module feel". The various sections of the site were nicely deployed using modules.


• The theme is very good, and well thought out with the templates for the various modules all combining really well. It also shows off the flexibility of the modules and what you can do given a bit of effort.


• I like the custom design work that has been put into this website. From it looks, it's hard to tell that its driven by Xoops. Well done!


• The Buccaneer site is great. It's got a wonderful theme that brings you in the right mood and atmosphere, and treats the page as a whole, not a collection of separate blocks. The site has good, clear content, rich enough to inform visitors on what they need to know. It makes me wonder what the place itself is like, and that's the best thing that can happen for a site like this!
