xoops FACTORY

I have scheduled the relaunch of xoopsfactory.com for december this year or early beginning of next year. Actually I’m gathering ideas and people around me who are willing to participate. What can you expect? XOOPS factory’s main goal was and is to show XOOPS SITES to our visitors. To show what can be achieved with XOOPS. To show the flexibility and different usage of XOOPS.

We’re having a new logo! This time I thought it was best to leave my fingers from my fireworks graphics editor and started a search for logodesign on ebay. Here we are with the new design by 1080promotions.com.

It is intended to use this logo for the upcomming relaunch of xoopsfactory, so please be patient!

I started a poll/inquiry with some questions which should be interesting especially for potential new xoops users or for those who just began to use XOOPS. But it will give us all some more information about those who use XOOPS for a while. It would be very kind of you to take some minutes and answer each poll question, or those you want!

The poll is open for all visitors, if you want to post a comment on a poll, you have to be logged in. If there are questions, where you think it should be interesting to know, please send me a mail using my contact form.

I will gather all your answers until the 31th december 2006 and will summarize the result for you in a report.

Actually I’m playing with some fotos I made some time ago. I’ll call the theme xf_autumn if there is one. I remember starting to work with xoops I had an autumn theme too. You can actually view the newest version on my DEMO site.

I’m still playing on it, so I might ask you to look twice.

Today there are more than 100 post in xoopsfactory’s blog. Since I started this blog in October last year, there were more than 80.000 visitors with more than 250.000 pageviews. Never ever thought to have that much visitors, and it’s fun to gather content for the page. It seems to be a small diary from parts of my work with xoops and stuff.

The more fun it is while seeing XOOPS moving forwards. Actually I’m having fun with the new 2.0.14RC. The feature (the ability) of overwriting modultemplates seems to be a good thing for themedesigner.

Would YOU like to show YOUR personal design of XOOPS Banner?

I’m playing with some images and graphic stuff to get some personalized XOOPS banner. This is actually just a test to play with bannerdesign, not more. Send me your banner, or even better, upload it somewhere and send me a link to your banner and some information about the banner (when there is some).

I’m actually moving xoopsfactory to a new home. This should be without (too m)any problems but if there are any, please excuse them. The normal procedure to move a xoops cms to another server is a set of the following steps …

Since I started the new series of downloads of themes for our preferred content management system XOOPS in december 2005 there were 6000 downloads until today. I hope that you enjoy some of them, for there will be some more out of this box. Of course, I’m actually thinking about a new series of themes but I will talk about this later.

Here is a short list about the number of downloads, but that’s not a perfect view because the downloads started at different dates eg. the last theme download only 2 days ago.
