This long-awaited and much discussed resource is the work of many contributors and every effort has been made to give credit where credit is due. There are still plans for additional features for the site, including multilanguage support, supported and maintained module packs and a companion demo site.

Currently, the site houses over 400 modules, more than 400 themes and 60 language packs. This is not a complete compilation of all that is available to extend your XOOPS site, but the work continues and the community’s assistance is greatly appreciate in completing and maintaining this repository. In the future I want to have the ability to review xoops sites. I want to focus more on users input, display comments and opinions. XF should not be seen as a supportsite for XOOPS but for those who work with XOOPS or who are planning to run a xoops site. I want to give impressions and show how other webmaster achieve their goals or find solutions. There will be links to companys who give xoops services for those who need proffessional help. The weblog will be one of the spots. With articles from XOOPS webmaster, tipps to get visitors, income, articles about great tools to use with XOOPS or daily work in the web etc. The XOOPS Site of the Month Contest will come with some new features and a new module. Did I miss something? Sure! If you feel that you want to share your knowledge and are willing to join the xf team, let me know. Ideas of content and stuff you want to see on xf in the future are welcome.

Here is One topic out of my head with a high priority (at least for me). To make XOOPS a real CMS or in other words, a bit more than “just a ContentModule Managing System” or “just a Community Management System” WE will NEED at least the option of managing First- and Second-Level Navigation (and –Content) within XOOPS CORE. Let me tell you what I mean by saying this. The best solution I’m used to use is actually presented by Wordpress (hey, I don’t know much about other systems ).

To devs: Give us the ability to create simple html or php pages with our own content and the ability to take influence on the kind of creating URLS to this content.

Let me create a page with title “site-information” and let me use this page as single- or category site. Let me create another site with title “about” and let me use “site-information” as a base if I have chosen “site-information” to be a category site.

Let me get the following URLS :

Skalpa, the lead developer for the past year, has resigned from his job. A new structure has to be built. DJ aka phppp has taken the role of the lead core developer and started to let the team create themselves.

This month election wasn’t that hard for me to count for we have nearly 100% for the xoops site of the month January 2007, which is Parent Solo.
