xoops.org closed again

while I was preparing to publish an article that XOOPS.org is back online, the hacker gained access to xoops.org admin again. He changed original posts of the community and there was no other solution than to close xoops.org again.

Actually you can read this information on xoops.org:
“… The main XOOPS.org website has been hacked by a destructive hacker in order to destroy the open source spirit of the XOOPS community, and promote another project (without their consent!). We have stopped the hacker, and are now determining the extent of the damage and take measures to prevent these kinds of attacks on the XOOPS community and the spirit of the open source community worldwide. We have reported the hacker to the appropriate authorities, and will take measures to ensure his destructive nature will not disturb this community again.

We are currently working hard to open up the website to the public once more. We will not be brought down by a raving lunatic with a burning hatred to open source community powered development projects such as XOOPS. We are a strong community…”
