About StudioC and Xoops factory:

Creating with XOOPS

During the past years (since 2002), I have had contact with some of the XOOPS Community as well as with some of the core and development TEAMS. I sure have not yet learned to speak English as well as most of you speak it ... but I am learning.

I have learned to read php source and am sometimes able to follow the devs thoughts as well as understand their doings. One of the FIRST things I had to learn was to rethink my so called "web design philosophy".

We CAN use a content management system to manage our content. THIS was the EVOLUTION! (at least for me). Using a template engine to parse documents is a great idea and one thing I liked most about XOOPS. This was good for my lazy fingers! :-) My first visits to XOOPS.org, some years ago, caused sleepless nights full of ideas but no solutions. The more I did by hand, the more I understood how the source was to be managed.

Then I began with the first steps in developing Xoops Factory (June 2003). During that time, I had a new theme on my pages each week. Some said that I changed my themes more often than I did my trousers HAHA ... but each new theme helped me move one more step. Perhaps sometimes those steps were not exactly forward, but they all helped me move towards my goal.

In the beginning, I always wanted to use XOOPS to manage small commercial and personal sites. I certainly was not the typical community webmaster initially. I was looking for a FREE and helpful tool to manage my sites.

In August 2005, I decided Xoops Factory should be a place to show, as much as possible, examples of Xoops sites to the wider world of webmasters. Let them create their own experiences, as we did, but give them some examples of what can be achieved with XOOPS. All Open Source and even CMS systems have their advantages and disadvantages but every System can be the best for someone.

Yes, WE are the webjunkies of the century. Yes, WE are addicted.

Besides XOOPS, I learned a bit more in the past Years! I have learned that the English language is useful when contacting most people on the World Wide Web. The Web has enabled me to learn from people in Canada, The Netherlands, Russia, Brazil, China ... and more. WOW. I loved the events and talks at the beginning. It was a big motivator for me to learn English better than I did when I was in school ;-).

Do NOT hesitate to contact me in English if you have any questions. I will ask you twice if I think I am misunderstanding something ;-).

If you do not want to use my XOOPS factory ContactForm, feel free to contact me using the other boring techniques and media. Please use:
